FALLOUTS OF ENDSARS PROTESTS: NEC SETS UP COMMITTEE TO ENGAGE YOUTHS, OTHERS ON EMPLOYMENT, SOCIAL SAFETY NETS & NATIONAL UNITY

The outcome of deliberations at an emergency meeting of the National Economic Council yesterday, on the resolution reached by the Council were that the deeper reasons behind the ENDSARS protests and its fallouts should be addressed by both the Federal and State Governments.

To this end, a Council committee to engage the youths, representatives of Civil Society Organizations, religious and traditional leaders, on employment, social safety net programmes, and national unity among other key issues of concern has been constituted composing governors representing the six geopolitical zones.

The Committee would be chaired by the Vice President who presided over the meeting.

Governors who are members of the committee are:
a. Governor of Sokoto State
b. Governor of Borno State
c. Governor of Niger State
d. Governor of Ondo State
e. Governor of Ebonyi State
f. Governor of Delta State

The Committee is set to commence work immediately.

We solicit His Excellency, that community engagement should be strongly interfaced.
Where there are infrastructures, indigenes and brilliant people in the community should be involved.

His Excellency could please commiserate and express sincere condolences to all those who have been injured, suffered the death of loved ones or lost property since the hijacking of the EndSARS demonstrations by criminals and hoodlums across the state.
Security should be reinforced at the warehouses were food items are domiciled in the state.
Social welfare must be given greater priority through Corperate Social Responsibility CSR by passing NYCSRF Bill into law by NASS or Mr President signing Executive Order to that effect.

We thank you for the wisdom you introduced to curb discipline, peace and tranquility in your state.

Please I call upon all our young generation people youths and students Nationwide including Mother’s young parents to remain calm but stand on making one demands noise that the DG NYCSRF with his delegates should be called and discuss with
as long it is concerning the rights and request of all Nigeria Young persons youths and students Nationwide including Mother’s young parents.

Some Groups are trying to play off games if you can’t secure our rights now it will never happen again.

Let the Leaders know the Bill to secure your rights and Request is at the NASS and Presidency also at the hands of US Ambassador, UK Ambassador and even UN all you need now is they should pass that Bill into law that is when you are guarantee to secure your rights and Corperate Social Responsibility Fund not Nigeria Youth Investment Fund as loan.
